Cooper

Cooper.jpg

My name is Cooper, but they call me the CooperStar! I am an American Quarter Horse. My color is black but due to the Florida sun, no one seems to know that! I am the reason the stables are named Cooper's Creek. I'm always the barn favorite and there is a creek on the property. No matter where I go, people love me! I would describe myself as tall, dark and handsome. I am a great horse from anyone who is a beginner to advanced rider. I am super cool and laid back and love kids and small animals. I love new riders, especially ones that I can show my favorite trick to....I open gates on my own with a push of my nose! If you don't close the gate and latch it, I open it, and even if you're riding me, out we go! If you are reading this, I hope to meet you soon!

Jax

My name is Jax (although I am convinced it should have been Fabio)! I am a Palomino Quarter Horse. I am such a lovable and handsome guy! I am the kind of guy who takes care of my rider from kids to disabled veterans. I was purchased because my owner's dad loves Palominos and her first horse was a Palomino, so when she found me, it was love at first sight! I am getting used to getting bossed around by Paisley at the barn, but Cooper and I are buddies and like to hang out together. My favorite sport is karate.  I love breaking fencing boards in half. I absolutely love peppermints, so please don't forget to bring me some when you come to visit!

Paisley

My name is Paisley. I am a Buckskin, Paint, mare. Mom says I am the prettiest horse on the farm. My name is Paisley because I am unique, beautiful, and complex. I have a mane that is two different colors! I have the smoothest canter you have ever ridden and have a lot of get up and go! I love riders who are confident, patient, and quiet. Because of this, I am best suited for an intermediate level and up rider.

You should also know I am the boss of the barn! I tell the boys what to do and where to go because someone has to keep things together in the pasture! When I'm not bossing the boys, my favorite past time is getting massages. I stretch like a dog when I get my massages! I also enjoy peppermints and grooming. Spa day is my favorite! I would love to get to know you in my free time if I'm not too busy managing things at the farm!

Whiskey

My name is Whiskey Luke. I got my name because I am big and round like a whiskey barrel. I am the newest addition to Cooper's Creek.  I am half Arabian, half Quarter Horse, and am absolutely one of the sweetest horses you will ever meet!

Jax and I are best buddies. I also really like hanging out with my goat brother, Winston, (but don't tell Jax).

I ride all different disciplines from Western to jumping.  I have great brakes for beginner riders, but also have fun jumping with the more advanced riders! I also love trail rides and am enjoying all of the attention I get here at Cooper's Creek!

Sam

Sam is the owner of Cooper's Creek. Sam began riding horses when she was 5 years old.  She was born and raised in Ohio where she grew up riding and showing a Palomino Quarter Horse (Western Pleasure) and an Arabian Quarter Horse (Saddleseat).  After moving to Florida in 2014, Sam knew she could not continue to be without her first love--horses.  Sam purchased property in Green Cove Springs, FL that is now Cooper's Creek so that she could bring her horses home and share her passion for horses with others.

During the day, Sam is a healthcare and corporate attorney.  When she is not working with clients you will find her at the barn giving riding lessons and working with the horses.  Sam will tell you the barn and horses have always been an outlet for her, and her goal is that Cooper's Creek can provide that same sanctuary to others.  It is the one place you can turn off the world and clear your mind.

Lola

My name is Lola and I would describe myself as an absolutely gorgeous Arabian Saddlebred.  I am one of the more energetic horses at Cooper's Creek.  I am usually the first one to come to the fence to see if you have a treat.  I am  inquisitive, smart, and graceful.  Fancy is an understatement! I am best suited for intermediate to advanced riders who have an independent seat, and are extremely soft, kind, and quiet in their cues mostly because I am fancy trained and ready to work!

I am Cooper's pasture mate. When I first met him, we became instant best friends. On a cool day you will see me start races with Cooper in the pasture! I take off bucking and kicking, and then Cooper does too!   My favorite treat? Well, I haven't found anything I have not liked yet.  I hope to see you at the barn soon!

Winnie

My name is Winnie the Mini. I am a miniature horse and cute as can be! Paisley and I are best buddies. Most people say minis are crazy, but not me! I am cool as a cucumber. I came to the farm pretty much untrained other than basic handling skills. I now let kids ride me under saddle and bareback, and I'm learning to pull a cart!

I love attention and being groomed. I hate being in my stall and throw huge tantrums! I love birthday parties and kids! I hope you'll consider having me at your next party!

Kaitlyn

Hey there, it's Kaitlyn, your go-to Cooper's Creek Trainer!  Let me share a bit about myself – I've been horse-crazy since I was 8, when I got my first horse, a spirited Arabian/Thoroughbred mix named Echo. Fast forward, and I've had the joy of owning and cherishing 16 amazing horses throughout my horsey journey.

At 30 years young, I've trained riders of all levels, dabbled in nearly every equestrian discipline, but my true passion is Dressage.

Here's a cool tidbit: I kick-started my own riding company at the ripe age of 16! From then on, I've led countless trail rides, given tons of lessons, and fine-tuned many riders' dressage skills well into my 20s. Now I am here and loving every minute with my Cooper’s Creek Gang!

You know what lights up my world? Seeing that spark in my students' eyes when they grasp new skills and connect with their horses on a deeper level.  Our four-legged friends always take center stage, and we shower them with all the respect and love they deserve.

So, if I had to sum it up, my life's motto would be something like, "Good things grow with time and a whole lot of love." Can't wait to meet you in the saddle!
